But, if you built with someone else steering the ship, you are left with a key to the door and perhaps some warranty repair sheets for the first year. When the job is complete and all paperwork signed for, wouldn’t you expect more on a high end home?
Savko Home Builders’ background in commercial contracting brings about a close-out procedure typically reserved for million or even billion dollar commercial clientele, but offers it as an included service to you! First and foremost is a commissioning service that starts even during the build phase, but ends with a full test of every system and/or moving part of your home to ensure that there are no “bugs” for you to figure out. Upon completion, you will receive in-home video-recorded owner training. Due to our specialty being in commercial systems and smart home technology, some of you may have trouble figuring out how to turn things on or make adjustments. We will spend as much time as you need to feel comfortable in understanding how your home works for you. Finally, in addition to tangibly handing you a key will be the “bible” of your home. Every part, product, and/or system typically has a submittal describing it’s specifications and use, and many working items have installation & maintenance manuals associated. We don’t expect every person to be handy with their home, but when you or someone you hire needs to come and perform some sort of service, these manuals will provide them with on-site information that reduces time spent searching the web for archived PDF’s. This manual set will also include warranty information for any and all applicable items with expiration dates, tech support phone numbers, model and serial numbers, etc. With both a digital and hard copy delivered at project completion, you will have access whenever and wherever you may need it.
Although many may find the above excessive, it is our firm belief that we shouldn’t just leave you with your high end home feeling alone and frustrated. Rather, Savko Home Builders will in some capacity, be your “guardian angel” for years to come, should anything unexpected arise.
